Deionized Water Systems for High-Purity Applications

EnviroH2O provides deionized water systems for laboratories, healthcare facilities, sterile processing departments, and manufacturers throughout DFW and North Texas, including mixed-bed systems, service deionization, and DI polishing behind reverse osmosis. Exchangeable DI tanks delivered, installed, and swapped on a schedule built around your usage and water quality requirements.

What is Deionized water ?

Deionized (DI) water has had dissolved ionic contaminants removed by ion exchange. Cation resin exchanges positively charged ions for hydrogen, anion resin exchanges negatively charged ions for hydroxide, and the two combine to form water — leaving behind water with very low conductivity.

DI is frequently paired with reverse osmosis. RO removes the bulk of the dissolved load efficiently, and deionization polishes the remaining ions to reach the purity a critical application requires. Using DI alone on untreated water is usually the more expensive path because resin exhausts quickly.

Systems can be permanently installed and regenerated on site, or supplied as exchangeable service deionization tanks that are swapped on a schedule tied to your usage and quality requirements.

APPLICATIONS

• Laboratory and analytical water

• Sterile processing final rinse water

• Instrument rinse water and sterilized feed water

• Manufacturing rinse and process water

• Equipment fills requiring low conductivity

• Polishing behind Reverse Osmosis

— PROBLEMS SOLVED

What this addresses

Residual ionic contamination

Applications sensitive to conductivity need ion removal beyond what filtration or softening can provide.

Process variability

Shifting water chemistry introduces variables into processes that need to be repeatable.

Spotting and residue

Dissolved solids left behind after rinsing and drying can leave residue on instruments, parts, and surfaces.

Unplanned resin exhaustion

Without monitoring and a resupply plan, exhausted resin can interrupt operations without warning.

— HOW IT WORKS

From incoming water to point of use

01

Pretreatment

Filtration, carbon, softening, and often reverse osmosis reduce the ionic load reaching the resin beds.

02

Cation exchange

Positively charged ions are exchanged onto resin in the hydrogen form.

03

Anion exchange

Negatively charged ions are exchanged onto resin in the hydroxide form.

04

Polishing & monitoring

Mixed-bed resin polishes the final water, and conductivity or resistivity monitoring signals when exchange or regeneration is due.

— BENEFITS

What you get

Purity matched to the application

System configuration is driven by the quality target your process or standard calls for.

Equipment Protection

Permanent systems or exchangeable service deionization tanks, depending on volume, footprint, and operations.

Serviecable Design

Monitoring and scheduled exchange keep quality within range and reduce surprise interruptions.

Support that continues after install

EnviroH2O maintains DI systems, supplies and exchanges service deionization tanks, and troubleshoots quality issues such as early breakthrough or unexpected conductivity drift.

We also evaluate existing DI installations where resin is being consumed faster than expected, which is often a pretreatment problem rather than a resin problem.

Tank delivery, installation, exchange, and monitoring are handled by EnviroH2O as part of a recurring service program.
